The Crackdown

  • Daniel Neboa is the young-ish, borderline dictatorial president of Ecuador, trying to fight the drug gangs who are ruining the country and causing its citizens to flee north and south and east and west.
  • he threatens to shoot a kidnapper in the face — accompanied by the military special forces, of course. the elites who make threats always use someone else to do the actual dirty work, don't they.
  • he wants to build a prison in Antarctica. which is crazy, isn't it. Ecuador is party to a treaty by which multiple nations split up Antarctica, and they're bound to just use their slice for science.
  • the CIA is meeting w/ the president, and giving them $10 mil a year. How can this pittance work to figure out the root causes of the immigration issue in the U.S. While we send $90B to Ukraine & Israel & Taiwan.
