Fun times ahead. Who will want to run in his name?
The process and the term itself, “vibe coding,” sets itself up to be misleading and get a bad rap. It sounds like a suspicious practice of “the youths.” It sounds lazy, feckless, directionless — LESS than true “coding.” Vibes cannot be trusted.
But I am here for it. I am getting down with the boogie. I’m 43, and it’s giving me a new path for the future. “Vibe coding” has let me build this little microblog to append on to my regular site. It’s allowing me to give an overhaul and an upgrade to the systems that operate a school organization.
It is a bit scary, but count me among the excited for this new tech. I have firmly moved camps from the skeptical side; I feel that the democratizing upside is too good to lay aside.
